Curculator – Currency Conversion and Calculation

28th July • by Craig Agranoff

curculator.pngCurrency conversion is becoming a new trend in Web apps. More and more conversion tools are emerging with new and improved features. Some are aimed towards ForEx traders, others are for travelers, and still others are just reference tools for academics or writers.

We talked about currency conversion and did a comparison between several of the most popular sites out there for this. Curculator.com was one that we missed on that list, so we’re looking at it now.

Curculator is meant mostly for travelers, with a simple interface and fast response to queries. The site loads equally well on smart phones and your PC. The landing page is a simple calculator. You can punch the buttons right on the screen (in the case of a smart phone or touch-sensitive screen) or use a numeric keypad to enter numbers.

Selecting the currency to convert to and from is easy as well. Next to the calculator interface is a drop-down list of countries indicated by flags and 3-character country codes.

Almost all of the major nations of the world are listed in the initial list and other, more obscure ones are listed under the second, clickable list. The initial list is likely all you’ll need, however.

Converting from one to another is free and easy and very quick. The site is simple, with no frills or wasted extras on the page. Definitely worth checking out.
